Donna - Cynthia Zamora, 62, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Comfort House in McAllen, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Cynthia "Cindy" Zamora, 62, of Donna, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 24, 1963, in Weslaco, Texas, to Jose Santos Guerrero and the late Ester Guerrero. The only daughter and second oldest of six children, Cindy was a cherished sister and a devoted daughter.

She married the love of her life, Jose Isabel Zamora, in 1984 and together they built a beautiful family and home with a lasting marriage of 42 years in Donna.

Cindy was a proud graduate of Donna High School, Class of 1981, and furthered her education with a business program at TSTI. She was a dedicated professional, beginning her 43-year career as a Legal Secretary at the Law Office of Mark Freeland in 1983.

Her greatest joy and legacy, however, was her family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her world revolved around them. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose; her children, Jessica R. Wood (Logan), Jose I. Zamora Jr. (Cassandra), Crystal N. Sanchez (David), Clarissa Y. Zamora (Ramon), and Saul A. Zamora; thirteen adored grandchildren; her father, Jose Santos Guerrero; and five brothers.

Cindy was a woman of faith, a faithful Catholic where you would find her most Sundays at St. Joseph Church, in Donna. Cindy will be remembered for her beautiful, ever-present smile and her contagious laugh that could light up any room. She blessed everyone she met with kindness and left an indelible mark of love on their hearts. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the enduring legacy of family, faith, and joy she leaves behind.
